Doorway Jumpers are NOT Recommended

Doorway jumpers are fun and exciting for babies but not the safest option for your baby. A doorway jumper basically is a swing hung from bungee like cables that attach to a doorway with a spring-like clamp. Babies can jump to their hearts desire while you know they are in a safe place. The problem is the jumpers straps or clamps can break causing your baby to fall or you baby can bump into the door jam if they bounce too hard. Some babies actually get seasick from the jumping motion so there are many reasons why these jumpers can be harmful to your baby. Since 2005 many doorway jumpers have been recalled due to breaking clamps or straps. There are still a few different brands of doorway jumpers available but keep in mind that there are alternatives – such as an exersaucer or stationary jumper.
