Shopping for maternity clothing can be hard on the pocket but necessary after a few months into pregnancy although many women do not start wearing maternity clothes until the 5th or 6th month of pregnancy. Until then you can get by with the bella band or button pant extender which extends the life of your regular clothes. They are not expensive and allow you to wear non-maternity pants and skirts for a lot longer than your belly will allow. If you need maternity clothes at 5 or 6 months then do you really want to buy a whole wardrobe that you will only wear for 4 months.   • Buy plus size clothing or just bigger size than what you currently wear but keep in mind that you will continually get bigger through the course of the pregnancy

When it comes to maternity clothing, in order to buy less and save more, buy staples such as black pants, jeans, a few staple shirts and use accessories to change up the outfits. If you plan on nursing and need to buy larger bras during your pregnancy, buy bras that you can use during pregnancy and after. The most important thing to look for when it comes to maternity clothing is comfort. You are going through so much during pregnancy that comfortable clothing is what will make you feel the best.
