One of the highest rated infant car seats and the easiest car seats to use and install is the Chicco KeyFit original and 30. There are 2 Chicco KeyFit car seats, the original Chicco KeyFit is usually only sold with the Chicco Cortina Travel System Stroller where as the Chicco KeyFit 30 is sold separately and can be used with any Chicco stroller to create a travel system. The other differences between the two strollers is the maximum weight capacity, cover options (the KF 30 has many cover colors whereas the original only has one option) and price. The original is for babies 4-22 lbs and up to 30 inches tall whereas as the KeyFit 30 is for babies 4-30 lbs and up to 30 inches tall. Current models of both KeyFit car seats use the same base although older models of the original KeyFit is not compatible with the KeyFit 30. Both car seats come with an infant insert for newborns 4-11 lbs although the head support cushion can be used even after your baby is 11 lbs.
