After returning to the market just 3 months ago, Infant Tyenol has been recalled again. Johnson and Johnson recalled the bottles due to a failing bottle design. The new design was supposed to be a safety improvement for measuring doses. The new design has a protective cover on the top that does not seem to work properly. The protective cover is meant to limit the amount of liquid that comes into the syringe but some consumers complained that the protective cover was inserted into the bottle when the syringe was inserted. As a result, J&J’s McNeil Consumer Healthcare unit is recalling 574,000 of grape flavored liquid Infant Tylenol.
