Bloom Zen Stroller Review

The company Bloom will release their first ever stroller in March 2012. Keeping up with their contemporary designed products the Zen stroller does not disappoint. Coined as the slimmest newborn travel system stroller, the Zen deserves the hefty $799 price tag. The one-handed fold and 10 inch folded stroller makes it easy to use when you have a baby in one hand and a stroller in the other. Once folded, prop the Zen upright, roll it upright or sideways or anyway with the handle – the multidirectional roll is akin to the multidirectional roll of a suitcase. Using 3 AAA batteries, solar powered front lights allow for increased visibility thereby increasing road safety. The light can shine as a flashing hazard light (automatic shut off after 2 minutes) or a full beam light. The batteries are charged by the stroller’s solar panels (activated by 2 hours of sunlight) or recharge the batteries with a battery charger at home. With a patent pended tires system, puncture proof tires and front and rear shock absorbers, expect a smooth stroller with the Zen. The 3 level adjustable handlebar allows taller and shorter people to comfortably push the stroller around town.

Pair the Zen with the Yoga bassinet and you now have a parent facing newborn seat.  The 3-in1 bassinet is a mobile travel bed, bouncer and stroller all in one. With 2 recline positions, high-quality foam mattress, the Yoga is a comfortable and snug bed for your baby in the house or on the go.

All materials for the Zen and Yoga are made of breathable, machine-washable and stain resistant fabric that is coated with 40+ UV protection.

Both the Zen and the Yoga are available in 2 color options – monochrome (silver and black) and cmyk (cyan, magenta, yellow, key also known as black). I love the cymk colors – it is so colorful and fun and different than any other stroller.

The Bloom Zen also has a line of accessories including a pvc-free rain cover, cup holder, uv mosquito net, foot muff and reversible cushions and mattresses. Car seat adapters are also available.

I highly recommend the Zen for those who are short on space and willing to spend the money on a luxurious stroller. The fact that the Yoga can be used in the house and on the stroller means one less item to buy for your house. Also the stroller size opened or close makes it easy to store in the house or car. I love my Orbit stroller but if I could do it again I may consider going the way of Yoga and Zen.
