Now that my daughter is 5 months old, she is putting anything that she can get her hands on in her mouth. With this change, I have to makes sure I take her teething toys  (Sophie for one) with us everywhere we go. As a result, I was so happy when I was so graciously sent Chewbeads to review. They could not have come at a better time. I can see myself wearing my green Jane Chewbeads Necklace and orange Cornelia Bracelet a lot!

What are Chewbeads? They are colorful, chic, safe, non-toxic jewelry for mom to wear. Not only are they perfect for your teething baby’s mouth but the necklaces also are a great tool to keep your baby focused while nursing. As for the bracelets, tired moms can use them as a reminder for which side they last nursed on.

Chewbeads features:

  • Beads made of 100% silicone
  • Soft for baby’s gums and teeth
  • BPA, phthalate, PVC and lead free
  • Dishwasher safe
  • No detachable parts so your baby cannot accidently choke on any part of it
  • Breakaway clasp for added safety
  • 5 different necklace styles and 2 different bracelet styles and all in a rainbow of colors options

Safety notice – Chewbeads are not toys so even though they are safe for your baby to chew on, they are not intended for children to wear and they should not be given to your baby unattended.

When I first saw the Chewbeads, I was surprised at how big it was but once I put it on, it makes sense because it is long enough for my daughter to pull without choking me and it is big and bright for her to see and grab onto. I love how the beads feel so soft – I instantly knew that they would be safe for my teethless daughter’s gums. When I had it on, she instantly grabbed the beads and they eventually made it into her mouth. I ended up with some slobber on my shirt from the necklace but really for a parent that is nothing!

Chewbeads are awesome and I highly recommend them!
