Playtex Drop-Ins Bottle System

As a mom of 3, I have purchased many bottles along the way. My boys never had a preference for any bottle and were easy but my 4 month old daughter has been my tough cookie when it comes to taking a bottle. I was told by a few friends to try the Playtex Drop-Ins Bottle System because it worked like a charm with their kids. I went ahead and bought it but we are still working on the bottle with her. I have high hopes that it will work but we will see.

These are the reasons why I have heard other rant and rave about the Playtex Drop-Ins:

  • Patented NaturaLatch nipple -soft and wide, it is designed to resemble the breast to prevent nipple confusion, promote latch-on and prevent unnecessary inhalation of air
  • Liners collapse and contract while the baby sucks to control the intake of milk  – prevents gas, colic and spitting up
  • Liners are BPA free and pre-sterilized
  • Throw away the liners when done – minimizing bottle cleaning (only have to wash the nipple)
  • Breastmilk can be stored in the liners for later use

Downsides to the Playtex Drop-Ins:

  • Liners are expensive – adds up in the long term
  • If using formula, it has to be mixed separately from the liner

Using the bottle, is easy, drop in the liner, fill it up, twist on the nipple and the bottle is ready to go. Super easy set up and even easier clean up! The bottles are available in 4 oz and 8 oz sizes and each bottle comes with 5 liners so you can buy the bottle and try it out before you buy an box of liners on top of it all (that is what I did). I am still up in the air about the Playtex Drop-Ins for my daughter but based on most other reviewers, it is a hit!
