Inglesina Trip Review

Thanks to Italian brand, Inglesina, I had the phenomenal opportunity to review a black 2012 Trip stroller and wow what a trip. It is cool! My current umbrella stroller is the Maclaren Quest which I loved but now I love the Trip even more! The Trip came almost fully assembled in the box. All I had to do was attach the cup holder, canopy and bumper bar and it was ready to use. Weighing only 15 lbs, it was easy for me to carry.

For an umbrella stroller, the Trip has fancy features:

  • Front swivel wheels that lock
  • Rear wheels suspension
  • Extendable¬†canopy with a peek-a-boo window
  • Rear storage pocket
  • Storage basket
  • 4 position recline
  • 3 point harness with shoulder pads
  • Ergonomic soft touch handles
  • Included – rain cover, padded bumper bar and cup holder
  • Use from 3 months to 55 lbs

I love the Trip and was so happy to receive it. I was so excited to use it that we took it on our weekend trip to Tahoe and it worked well for us. Opening the Trip was quick and easy and closing was easy but it was a 2 step process. Maneuvering the stroller was so easy – the wheels are sturdy with the swivel and suspension, it pushes effortlessly. The stroller and seat are higher up than my Maclaren (great for tall people but for a short person like me it was easy to push too) which meant that my daughter had a better view of the world. All 3 of my kids could sit in it comfortably.

My gripes about the Trip (they are very minor):

  • The cup holder was too narrow to hold my daughter’s standard size sippy cup.
  • No snack tray or cup holder for baby
  • The basket is a little difficult to access when the seat is reclined

The Inglesina Trip is generally the same design as the Maclaren but it is better for many reasons. It is larger open (not as big as a full sized stroller) but the same size when closed (yup its compact). It is sturdier and strolls way smoother. The included accessories are great (rain cover, bumper bar, cup holder, padded shoulder straps) which the Maclaren does not have. The canopy is big so it provided great shade for my daughter. To add to these awesome features, the Trip is very stylish and sleek. There are so many reasons to love the Trip. Available for $199, it is a steal!

Disclosure: Inglesina provided me with a Trip Stroller for this review. I was not compensated for this post and, as always, opinions are my own.
