My daughter never took to a bottle or a soft or hard spout sippy cup. Once we started solids and started giving her a cup for water we tried the soft spout cups but mostly she bit on the nipple to get the water out. Then we gave her a hard spout nipple and she did not like it. She quickly learned how to use a straw cup and which has made our life so easy. She now takes are milk, water etc from a regular cup with a straw (we have to hold the cup still) or from a straw sippy cup. I had a few straw cups but needed more so I decided to try the Tommee Tippee Explora Truly Spill Proof Straw Cup!

I love that I can put the cup in the microwave (my daughter likes her milk warm)…quick and easy. I love that it is spill proof ad leak proof because when she throws or drops her bottle and I do not have to deal with a sticky milk mess. I love the insulated cup because her milk stays warm longer.
So many things to like about the bottle EXCEPT two issues: the bottle has a lot of parts and it is difficult to put back together. Putting the pieces together correctly is vital to the bottle working right – the valves need to be perfectly matched and snapped together. Your baby will not get the liquid out if the bottle is not put together right. Without reading the instructions (who has ever read the instructions for a bottle or sippy cup…most of them are intuitive) it took my husband and I a few tries to figure out the straw cup.
Overall I am pleased with the Tommee Tippee Explora Truly Spill Proof Straw Cup. While I like it, I could do without the many parts to clean and put together.
