Chicco Music Band Table

Interested in getting your baby started in music early? The Chicco Music Band Table is the winner of the “2013 Creative Play of the Year” by Creative Magazine and has a “seal of Approval” by the National Parenting Center. This new table toy has 3 musical activity centers allowing babies to explore and learn new instrumental concepts. All 3 activity centers are removable to allow babies to play anywhere. The table has flashing lights and fun tunes and sound effects to keep baby engaged.

Drum Section:

  • 3 electronic activities activated by playing the drums and cymbals
  • 4 LED lights
  • 3 play modes – free drum, keep the beat and composing

Maraca Section:

  • Roll or shake for a rattling sound
  • Play with colorful flaps

DJ Console Center:

  • Spin a record
  • Set their stylus
  • Operate a slide to scratch like a real DJ

While the Chicco Music Band Table is a fun music console I am not sure it is so necessary. The Drum Center is the only one that electronically plays music. The other 2 makes sounds when they are played with but otherwise they are fairly basic. The fun part is that each center can be removed which allows your child to take it with them around the house but overall the table is very limiting in its abilities compared to other activity tables. It is musically educational but not educational in other areas (teaching letters, numbers etc…). I do not think I would spend $50 for this table when there are other more versatile ones out there for equal or less.
