Disney On Ice Rockin Ever After – Interview with Ensemble Skater Antonia Mitchell

On Wednesday night, I had the opportunity to watch Disney on Ice Rockin’ Ever After at the SAP Center in San Jose. This was by far the best Disney on Ice show that I have been to and I have been to quite a few in the past 5 years. In the 2 hour show, 4 stories were told almost to the point where you felt like you were watching the movie of that story (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Brave and Rapunzel/Tangled). Rockin’ Ever After was a very entertaining show for kids and adults alike.

I was able to talk to one of the show performers yesterday, just to get an inside perspective from an ice skater and cast member.  I spoke to 22 year old, Antonia Mitchell from Windsor, California. Antonia has been touring with Disney on Ice for a little over 1 year and she is thoroughly enjoying her childhood dream. Antonia was in college when she initially auditioned for Disney On Ice thinking maybe she would do it in the future. What a surprise when she was accepted and decided to accept the job. Antonia is currently in the opening, finale and group numbers throughout the show. She hopes to one day to be a step out or principle skater although this multi-talented girl has so many other dreams for her future. With her passion, talent and love for life I think she will achieve all that she sets her heart out to do!

With the Olympics going on, ice skating is on people’s mind so this is the perfect time to watch a ice skating show that has so much impressive talent. One of the most memorable moments from the show is when Ariel (from the Little Mermaid) performs a circus act called the “Spanish Web Act” from a rope hanging from the ceiling. Rockin’ Ever After is a show not to miss, you and your kids will have a joyful time watching Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck and all the other characters dance and skate their hIt is not too late to see Disney on Ice Rockin’ Ever After in the SF Bay Area.
