Graco’s Day2Night Playard & Bassinet is Not Worth it!

Graco’s Day2Night Sleep System is an “integrated solution for seamless day and nighttime sleep, including a bedroom bassinet, portable bassinet, playard & changing table.” The Day2Night is everything you need for baby’s sleep, changing and play all in 1 neat package but it does have its faults.

Portable Bassinet:

The cozy, portable bassinet docks inside the playard bassinet, when you’d like to use it in conjunction with the playard. When you’re ready to bring baby with you as you move around the home, you can use the convenient carry handles. It also docks  in the folding stand, so that you can create a baby sleep solution anywhere in the house.

Stay Organized

Large storage compartments under the folding stand.

Playard Bassinet

The playard bassinet features a flat bottom, oval shape and soft side panels and is designed for babies up to 15 lbs.

Vibe & Entertain

your little one will love the MP3 docking station and speakers. The MP3 speaker system controls the vibration in the playard bassinet.

Soft Comfort

The soft micro fleece fabric will feel gentle and cozy on her skin as she snuggles in.

Baby Changing Table

The built-in cushioned changer is designed for your child, up to 25 lbs. When you’re not using it, it simply flips out of the way. The changer is built with wipe-clean fabrics that make it easy to keep clean.

Child’s Play

The playard is designed for use up to 35” tall (and as long as your child is unable to climb out). This playard has airy mesh on all sides to provide maximum ventilation to your child.

Why we do not like the Day2Night bassinet:

  • The bassinets have about a 3 month use and then after that you are relegated to use the playard bottom as a sleeping place which is hard for shorter parents or moms who had a c-section. If you have a taller baby then that 3 month mark may even be less.
  • Have to remove the entire liner and wash it if your baby leaks through their diaper or spits up. No options for a mattress or crib sheet.
  • Some people claim the padding on the bassinet is not enough
  • Changing table slants down when baby is in it because it is only supported up on 1 side (unless you find a way to prop it up)

Overall there are a lot more faults with the Graco Day2Night than it seems worth it. To top it off the whole system is $270 regular price. You are better off purchasing a cheaper playard that will basically serve you the same purpose (may not have all the bells and whistles).
