STEM Clothing for Girls

My daughter is as girly as a girl can get. My sister likes to tease me and say its my fault, which it very well may be, I am okay with it. After 2 boys, I was ready for a girly girl. Although, I have friends whose girls are into science, dinosaurs, super heroes and all those traditional boy interests. What most of us have noticed is that clothing and toys are very gender specific. Girls clothing is full of flowers, pink, princesses, animals etc. Boys clothing is full of super heroes, science topics, outer space etc.

Two Seattle based moms, Jennifer Muhm and Malorie Catchpole,¬†wanted to change this dichotomy and created the clothing line, buddingSTEM. BuddingSTEM is made to empower girls and make them realize that they can do and be whomever they want to be. The line of girls clothing embraces¬†science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With rockets on dresses and dinosaurs on pink shirts, your girl will have the ability to enjoy “girl” things (dresses, pink) but also enjoy “boy” things. The line between boys and girls just got smaller.
