mifold – A Revolutionary Booster Seat is on its way…

As a family that flies often, I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating it is to take 3 car seats/booster seats every time we travel. My husband gets so tired dragging those around but its a must because renting 3 cars seats with the rental car really adds up. We have one BubbleBum Booster Seat which is a huge space saver and light as can be but the other seats are just too big.

Recently I learned about the yet-to-be released mifold, a “Grab-and-Go Booster Seat“. Currently available for pre-order via the indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. For $35, you can support the campaign and get your very own mifold by early 2016. The mifold is so popular that the campaign has raised way more money than they thought. This is a revolutionary car seat that will be perfect for any child from 4-12 years or 40-120 lbs. You can even fit 3 of these side by side in the smallest of cars (I won’t need a minivan anymore.).

The mifold is different than standard booster seats, which lifts a child up. mifold does the exact opposite, instead of lifting the child up it holds the seatbelt down. It does this at three points: there are belt guides on either side of the child’s hips, to hold the lap belt correctly against the bones and off the soft stomach. These belt guides are adjustable to three sizes to make sure that the belt is always held snugly in place. There is a third clip on a strap that pulls the seatbelt chest strap down correctly onto the bones of the shoulder; away from the face and neck. So like a regular booster, mifold holds the seat belt in exactly the correct position on the bones of the hips and the bones of the shoulder, without needing a big, bulky seat to lift the child. In a collision, the child is protected in the same way. mifold simply works to hold the adult seatbelt correctly on a child. In addition, the mifold is 10 times smaller than most other booster seat.

As you can see, the midfold is a compact, small, save booster seat that will meet all the safety regulations of the United States and European Union (EU).

I can’t wait to get mine!!! Have you ordered your yet??
