Disney/Pixar’s Finding Dory was an amazing movie. I had the opportunity to take my family to see it earlier this week and we all loved it. If you have any time in the next few weeks to take your kids, do not miss out on the chance to see it while it is in the theater. Even if you have not seen Finding Nemo (the orange fish) or forgot the movie you can watch this movie and not feel like you have missed out (side note: Finding Nemo was released 13 years ago and its still a great a movie). Ellen DeGeneres did a wonderful job as Dory, the blue fish, the you hear her voice and you just can’t help loving her, loving Dory and laughing.
Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species. Dory now knows that her family reunion will only happen if she can save mom and dad from captivity.
Go watch Finding Dory for the fun and entertainment, but do not walk away without the poignant life lessons about how are all different but still the same!
