Steven Speileberg’s “BFG” Movie Review

Disclosure: I received free movie tickets in order to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own unless otherwise stated.

Author Roald Dahl’s long awaited movie The BFG, by Steven Spielberg, releases tomorrow, July 1st, 2016. In case you have not read the book, BFG stands “Big Friendly Giant.” Steven Spielber kept the story very close to the book except he eliminated the darkness that Roald Dahl is mostly known for. The film will thoroughly captivate the younger audience and if the older audience takes it for face value then it will definitely be appreciated by all.

Th magical BFG, features a young orphan named Sophie who is taken by the BFG, one night, after she laid eyes on him. The BFG takes her to his world where he introduces her to the magic of dream making. The movie chronicles the special relationship that Sophie and the BFG create through their common need for love, friendship and acceptance.

The digital effects of the film are visually stunning so combine that with a sweet storyline and you have a family movie night to enjoy on this long weekend.

Go see it!!
