graco stroller recall

It is really scary that a major stroller brand such as Graco has to recall 5 million strollers due to finger amputations or lacerations. Hopefully parents will exercise caution if they have any of these recalled strollers and definitely contact Graco for the repair kit.

Graco Recalls 1.9 Million Infant Car Seats (in addition to the 4 million recalled this year)

Earlier this year, Graco issued a huge recall of over 4 million car seats due to seat buckles getting stuck. Today Graco expanded the recall to include 1.9 million infant car seats manufactured between July 2010 and May 2013.

Another Car Seat Recall

In March Graco went through a mass recall of car seats due to a buckle issue. As of April 3, Evenflo recalled 1.3 million car seats due to a similar issue as Graco. According to Evenflo, “…select models use a harness crotch buckle which may become resistant to unlatching over time, due to exposure to various contaminants (like food and drinks) that are present in everyday use of the convertible car seat or harnessed booster by toddlers.

Graco Recalls 403,000 more car seats!!

In mid-February, Graco recalled 3.8 million car seats due to buckles getting stuck if liquids or juices harden in them. Well today Graco has expanded the recall to include an additional 403,000 car seats. These additional car seats have the same buckle so they can also get stuck by food and drinks, making it difficult to remove children in case of an emergency. In some cases, parents have had to cut harnesses to get their children out of the car seat.

3.8 Million Graco Car Seats Recalled due to Harness Problems

Today, Graco voluntary recalled 3.7 million Toddler Car Seat and Harness Booster Seats that were manufactured from 2009 through July 2013. Through urging by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and product testing, Graco found that liquids and food that dry out on the harness can cause the buckles to become more difficult to open over time or just get stuck.
