Unplug and Play!

screen free

BabyRecs will join thousands of schools, libraries, and community groups nationwide in a coordinated effort to encourage millions of Americans to turn off televisions, smartphones, tablets, and gaming consoles for 7 days and turn on the world around them.

Screen-Free Week is May 5-11, 2014

Screen-Free Week is a fun celebration in which people of all ages are encouraged to turn off the TV, iPad, video games, computer, phones etc and enjoy the world around you. The purpose is not to say that screens are bad or you should never use them, but the purpose is to show us that there is so much more that we can do without screens dominating our lives.

Screen-Free Week (April 29 – May 5)

screen free week

Screen-Free Week (formerly TV-Turnoff) starts today, Monday, April 29 and runs through Sunday, May 5. Screen-Free week is an annual event where children, families, schools and the community spend the week unplugged. This is your chance to turn off the tv, computer, cell phones, iPad, electronic games and “read, daydream, explore, enjoy nature, and enjoy spending time with family and friends.”
